  • Our brief: Four artist friends from Switzerland wanted to see Zimbabwe’s famed San Bushman paintings, and the Great Zimbabwe Monument - the largest ancient ruin in the southern hemisphere. Click here to view their tour.

  • This Swiss family of four wanted to safari – see the Great Migration - and relax by the sea. For Tanzania we carefully selected small camps in the areas where the Great Migration would be at the time, and that provided an authentic safari experience. We organised a private vehicle that was suitable for travelling on the roads between parks and in the for game viewing once in. They had their own knowledgeable guide to accompany them throughout, driving, organising and interpreting. For beach time we chose a remote pristine private island in Mozambique, easy to get to, and where the family could unwind and spend quality time together. Click here to view their tour.

  • Our brief: This well-travelled couple from Switzerland wanted to visit a children’s charity they support in Nambia and to take the opportunity to see some of the country as well. They wanted to do a road trip, but preferred not to have to do the driving themselves, and a private guide. They did not want the distances to be too long between destinations, and to spend just a night or two in each place – they like to be busy and keep on the move! Besides the dry desert landscapes of Namibia, they also wanted to experience the watery world of the Okavango Delta. Click here to view their tour.

  • Reine & Franke S, Switzerland

“We booked a safari trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana with SIMPLY AFRICA. It was important for us that it should be a very private trip just for the two of us or maximum 4-6 people. Thanks to Susan’s and Stu‘s careful planning we had a trip entirely tailored to our private needs. Our goal when travelling in foreign countries is always to have an authentic experience as far as possible. We want to meet local people, stay in accommodations typical to the country we visit, eat local food, etc. All our demands were entirely met and we had an unforgettable trip experiencing the wildlife at its best with very knowledgeable guides. It certainly pays to have a trip organised by people who are passionate about their country and have a deep knowledge of it. One day we will be back!”

  • Christoph & Otilia M, Switzerland

“We chose Simply Africa for 2 key reasons ; the in depth local knowledge of the Safari parks as well as the lodges and their pros/cons. This, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for your work, animal wildlife and local cultures, provide a strong basis for delivering the ultimate, tailor made safari experience. Something you cannot find in a catalogue.”

  • Labouchere Family, South Africa

“In June 2019, Stuart and Sue arranged and guided us on a fantastic 3-day trip to Chobe National Park for our family. Our children loved the bush camping experience and were inspired by the insights provided by Stu and Sue when encountering a wide variety of animals and birds. We also had a fabulous few days experiencing the sights around Victoria Falls. We look forward to booking further trips with Simply Africa in the future. “

  • Nikki C, USA

Sue and Stu are a joy to work with and I have used their agency for three safari trips now. Their service is special and unique for so many reasons. Both are born in Zimbabwe, passionate about wildlife and nature, and knowledgeable about all the parks and concessions. They take the time to visit camps themselves to accurately advise clients about what they can expect. Sue and Stu are well-connected, have strong relationships within the industry and arerespected team. I appreciate that they consider clients interests and styles and choose different camps based on this. I particularly love that they are focused on value, variety and overall experience as opposed to other agents who will simply move you through a circuit of camps that are all the same. I am a very independent traveler and rarely use agencies, but I believe in Africa it is a must for many reasons. Simply Africa is a wonderful small-but-fierce boutique outfit who really care and provide specialized and high value service, without high costs. Their commission structure is the same or less than any of the other big outfits. Plus you get a chance to work with two wonderful people who are doing good work in their community, helping with animal welfare on a daily basis, and truly and actively focusing on conservation. I wouldn’t dream of building an Africa trip without them. Thanks to Sue and Stu for providing me with some of the best experiences of my life!

  • Trevor Lane, Founder Bhejane Trust

“We, at Bhejane Trust, would like to express our grateful appreciation for the support given to us over the years by Simply Africa. Stuart and Susan Danks have been stalwarts in supporting our conservation efforts!!”

  • Gavin Stevens, Matobo Conservation Society

“Simply Africa has established a solid working relationship with the Matobo Conservation Society, and has proved a valuable partner in the sourcing of external funds for major projects undertaken with the Matobo Hills World Heritage Site. Coupled with the efforts of the MCS itself, a significant impact is being made in the conservation of this special area.”

  • Charles Brightman, Founder Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit

“Many thanks to Stuart and Susan Danks, Simply Africa, for being instrumental in sourcing vital donations to the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit. The generous donations have been critical for helping us save wildlife from elephants to the smallest wildlife from poaching and snares in the Victoria Falls and Zambezi National Parks. Thank you from the whole team on the ground."
