The Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls form the largest single curtain of falling water on earth. The water pours over the lip of the Falls into the spectacular Falls into the spectacular Batoka Gorge, 108 metres below, at a rate of 550 million litres per minute. Their average height is 92 metres, their width an impressive 1 690 metres. The spray shooting up from the boiling waters can reach heights of 500 metres, and can be seen from 70km away. The local, Mokololo, name is "Mosi-oa-Tunya" - "the smoke that thunders". They form the natural border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Stroll along the natural stone pathways and behold the foaming white waters, verdant green rainforest and brightly coloured rainbows. Feel the spray, catch a glimpse of a shy Bushbuck, hear the roar of millions of litres of water plunging into the Batoka Gorge below. Stand beneath the tall statue of missionary explorer David Livingstone.

Zambezi National Park
The northern section runs along the Zambezi River - the riverine vegetation is pristine. A wide variety of larger mammals can be found here, including elephant, lion, buffalo and leopard. Sable, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala, as well as many of the smaller species of game, are also seen. The birdlife is excellent and includes specials for ‘twitchers’, such as the African Finfoot and African Skimmer. Seventy-five species of fish are found in the Zambezi, famous for its bream and fighting tiger fish. The southern - inland - section is mainly vlei (wet grasses), bordered by teak forest.
Take a game drive along the river on the famous Zambezi Drive, or go inland on the Chamabonda Drive. There are several permanent waterholes with game viewing platforms. Morning, lunch time and evening river cruises are available, on a variety of vessels , from large and glamorous to small and intimate. A dinner cruise is our favourite.

Victoria Falls Village
The village of Victoria Falls is within walking distance of the most famous waterfall in the world. The area's natural beauty is carefully preserved whilst offering guests comfortable accommodation and thrilling activities. Visitors usually combine a visit to the Falls with an exciting game safari in Zimbabwe, neighbouring Zambia, or Botswana, as they are easy to get there. This is a safe destination, and you will be warmly welcomed. We have chosen to have our home and an office in this special corner of Africa, where it is not unusual to see warthogs, monkeys and mongeese, and even buffalo and elephants, going about their business in the streets and suburbs!
Known as the ‘Adventure Capital of Africa, ’ Victoria Falls offers many activities, ranging from high adrenalin Bungee Jumping and White Water Rafting to more relaxed pursuits such as canoeing, river cruising, helicopter trips over the Falls, game drives in the adjacent Parks, village visits, golf on the Gary Player course at Elephant Hills, and shopping in the markets for that special memento.
